WFS 5th Graders Explore Washington, D.C.

WFS fifth graders had quite the adventure as they took on Washington, D.C. for two days!
They met with WFS parent of alumni Delaware Senator Chris Coons; toured the U.S. Capitol; and visited the MLK Memorial, the Washington Monument, and the Lincoln Memorial. They also toured the National Museum of African American History and the National Museum of the American Indian, all while bonding with friends, and having a great time learning more about our nation's capital. Students stayed at Friends Place, a Quaker learning space on Capitol Hill, which is walking distance from the Supreme Court, the National Mall, and the Capitol.
