The following relays secured top -three finishes at the DISC meet on Saturday:
200 medley relay: 2nd place (Lorne McDonnell ’25, Theo Lawrence ’26, Gavin Jefferson ’26, and Andrew McKenzie ’24)
200 free relay: 3rd place (Wilmore, Devin Wallace ’24, Verbanas, and Stewart)
400 free relay: 2nd place (Stewart, Lawrence, Verbanas, and Wilmore)
Indoor Track: The WFS indoor track & field team traveled to Prince George’s Sports Complex to compete in the 2024 DIAA State Championships this afternoon. Cereniti Johnson ’26 was outstanding for WFS, breaking the school record in the 400 meter dash and placing 5th overall.
Declan Grubb ’24, Hayden Land ’24, Zae Turman ’24, and Brian Gainer ’25 set the boys' 4x400 school record.
Turman also placed 11th in the triple jump while Brina Abere ’25 finished 13th in the high jump.
