Substitute School Nurse, RN | 23-24 School Year | Wilmington, DE
The Wilmington Friends substitute school nurse works in either our Lower, Middle or Upper School  on a temporary basis when the full-time nurse is absent. The substitute nurse provides primary health and emergency care to students and staff for illness and accidents in the school setting. Administers medications and treatments as ordered. Documents all encounters. Follows communicable disease control procedures. This position requires a high degree of interpersonal communication and organizational skills in addition to general nursing duties. Experience in pediatric or community health is preferred.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Graduate of an accredited RN nursing program
  • Active Delaware Registered Nurse License (or compact state)
  • Must have at least two years of clinical nursing experience
  • Current BLS certification
  • Excellent communication skills/ ability to work with young students and parents
  • Knowledge about pediatric nursing and child development
Job Type: Contract (Per Diem / hourly)
  • Wage: Half Day $150 / Full Day $200
