Sophomores Chosen for Delaware Governor's School for Excellence Program

Congratulations to sophomores Easton Martinenza, Teagan Grubb, and Decker Reitemeyer for earning spots in this summer's prestigious Delaware Governor's School for Excellence (DGSE) Program.
The DGSE is a one-week summer program that brings together academically and artistically talented Delaware high school students who have completed their sophomore year. Students are nominated to participate in the Governor’s School through their schools via a competitive application and teacher recommendation process. Easton was nominated and chosen for the academic program. Decker and Teagan were nominated and successfully auditioned for the music and dance programs respectively.

This July, Easton, Decker, and Teagan will live in residence halls on the University of Delaware campus and attend either the academic program, consisting of discussions, lectures, debates and films revolving around a specific theme; or, the arts programs, which provide tutorial instruction with a noted artist and culminate in a performance or public display of the students’ work.

The Governor's School is sponsored by the office of the Governor of the State of Delaware in cooperation with the Delaware Department of Education and the University of Delaware's Division of Professional and Continuing Studies.

Congratulations to Easton, Teagan, and Decker!
